Dushanbe, 17th December, 2011 - Located in Pasarik village of Jilikul district, school No 11 is one of the oldest operating secondary schools in Jilikul district, Khatlon region. It is a reinforced concrete U-shaped structure of only one storey, constructed in 1974. Since its opening, the school has served Pasarik, Komsomoli Bolo and Komsomoli Poyon villages with total population of 2664 people. During 37 years of service, the school only once was renovated, in late 1989. Years of ceaseless service of the school, bad weather impact and a state of increasing disrepair for almost 22 years brought the school building to the entirely poor and even life-threatening condition. The most of the windows were broken-up, the wooden floors greatly rotten, the plaster on the walls was slipping off. But the most dangerous and threatening thing was the condition of the slate roof which was leaking during rainy seasons, thus impeding schooling of 597 pupils and service of 28 teachers employed.
